Chahab

(Thehran 1951)

Chahab Tayefeh Mohadjer, born October 20, 1951 in Tehran, is a Franco-Iranian visual artist. His work includes painting, printmaking, ceramics, sculpture and design.
Based in Nay in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques since 1997, he created the contemporary art center La Minoterie, opened in 2000.
His eclectic work can be regarded as an illustration of the curvature of time evoked by Jeff Koons 1 following the contributions of the theory of general relativity. Indeed, although of a luminous modernism, it carries within it the proto-historical traces of the civilizations of Sumer, Elam and Jiroft, three Iranian and Iraqi provinces whose contributions date back to more than 3,000 to 5,000 years before Jesus – Christ.
