Alain Soucasse

(Saint-Girons, 1951)

Alain Soucasse is a French painter, draughtsman, photographer and engraver, born in 1951 in Saint-Girons.
After studying at the Beaux Arts in Aix-en-Provence, Alain Soucasse specialised in stained glass at the Gruber and Le Chevallier studios in Paris. He then lived in Sweden from 1974 to 1981, where he devoted himself to painting and teaching stained glass techniques at the Beaux-Arts in Stockholm. In 1995, he took part in the “Contemporary Catalan Art” exhibition in Montpelllier with Tapiés, Miro, Clavé, Barcello, Combas, etc. He represented French printmaking at the Sapporo Biennial in Japan.
After numerous international exhibitions, he returned to Provence, to Meyrargues.
In 2008 he exhibited with artists such as Arman, César and Jeanne Susplugas at the Palais des Arts in Marseille, and in 2007 he took part in the CowParade in Marseille, with Sofie, telle une métisse (Sofitel Aéroport Marseille).
He has been exhibiting at the Otéro gallery in Saint-Paul de Vence since 2023.
