Corinne Baty was born in 1961. She lives and works in the south of France.
A self-taught sculptor, the call of the earth has often been heard throughout her life. When the time came, it became obvious, pressing, an essential and vital imperative.

She draws on the variety of humanity, her sensitivity, to model her characters in this material that is clay, multiple, alive and astonishing.

For her, sculpture is a journey; nothing is written in advance. There’s a fine line between the real and the imaginary, and if the result of her work violates realism, it’s simply a reflection of the child in all of us.
